How to Recover Deleted Instagram Stories

Instagram stories that have been deleted can simply be recovered by accessing the Instagram menu and selecting “Archive.” Now, simply press on a story, then tap on the “More” icon in the bottom right corner and pick “Save Photo” or “Save Video” to save it to your camera roll.

I’ve explained all three steps in detail below :

1. Open Archive

The first step is to open your story “Archive”.

To access your story archive, touch on the profile icon in the bottom right corner and then on the menu icon in the top right corner.

Select the “Archive” option.

Instagram stores all your stories in this archive so that you can recover them later.

2. Select Story

Do note that only you can see these archived stories.

The stories can be viewed according to the date and place

Now, select the story that you want to download.

Tap on the story to play the story.

3. Save Story

After you’ve decided which story you want to download, it’s time to save it to your phone’s gallery.

On the bottom right, you’ll notice the text “More” with three dots.

Click on this text to see the options.

The first option is to delete the story from the archive, the second option is to save the story. You can also share this story as a post or select the fourth option to DM it to your friend.

Select the second option to save the story.

Now, if the story is a photo, then you’ll see the “Save Photo” option, and if it is a video story, then you’ll see the “Save Video” option.

Now, open your camera roll or gallery to see the downloaded story.
