To disable likes and comments on your Facebook profile picture, simply change your profile picture and uncheck the “Share your update to News Feed” box and click save. Now, Facebook won’t share this update on your news feed, and people won’t be able to like or comment on it.

If you have already changed your profile picture, open your Facebook profile, find the update, and tap on the three dots on the top right. Now, select “Edit Privacy” and check the “Only me” option.

Here’s how you can disable likes and comments on your Facebook profile picture:

  1. Tap on your profile picture on the top left
  2. Update your profile picture
  3. Uncheck “Share your update to News Feed” and tap on “Save”

The first step is to open the Facebook app on your phone.

Now tap on the profile picture, your profile picture is located on the top left.

After you tap on the profile picture, you’ll see your Facebook profile.

2. Update your profile picture

Now, simply tap on the “Camera” icon located on the bottom right of your profile picture.

Tap on “Select Profile Picture” and select the profile picture of your choice.

You select a photo from the camera roll, make sure Facebook has access to your photo gallery if you want to pick a photo from your phone gallery.

3. Uncheck “Share your update to News Feed” and tap on “Save”

Once you have selected your profile picture, you have the option to add a frame to it or you can tap on the “Make Temporary” option if this is your temporary profile picture.

Now on the bottom bar, you should be able to see an option that says “Share your update to News Feed”.

This option will be checked by default. If you want, you can check this option. But it will share this update on your news feed, and your friends will be able to see it.

Since we don’t want people to comment and like this update, we won’t show this update on our news feed.

Simply, uncheck the “Share your update to News Feed” box and tap on “Save” located on the top right.

Your profile picture will now be updated and your friends won’t be able to like or comment on it as Facebook won’t share this update on your news feed.

If you have already updated your profile picture, and Facebook has shared the update on your news feed, then follow these steps:

  1. Find the update
  2. Tap on the three dots and select “Edit Privacy”
  3. Check “Only me”

Simply, tap on your profile picture located on the top right.

This will load your Facebook profile. Now, scroll down and find the update.

Once you find the update, tap on the three dots located on the top right.

This will show all the post options.

Now, tap on “Edit Privacy” from the list.

3. Check “Only me”

By default, the “Public” option will be selected.

Since we don’t want people to comment and like the post, we’ll select the “Only me” option.

Tap on the “Only me” option to select and tap on “Done” located on the top right to save the settings.
