To send a direct message to a private account on Instagram, simply open the Instagram profile of the person, tap on the three dots on the top right, select “Send Message” from the list.

Now, enter the message and tap on the “Send” button to send the message.
The message will be sent to the private Instagram account. However, it is up to that person whether they want to accept the message request.
Here’s how to send a direct message to a private account on Instagram:
1. Open the profile
The first step is to open the Instagram profile of the person you want to chat with.
To open the profile, tap on the search icon in the bottom bar.
Now type the name of the person. Instagram will show suggestions while you’re typing.
Tap on the person’s name you want to chat with.
2. Tap on the three dots
After you tap on the person’s name, you should be able to see the person’s Instagram profile.
Now, tap on the three dots located on the top right of the screen.
3. Select “Send Message”
After you tap on the three dots, you’ll see a menu slide in from the bottom of the page.
From the menu, select “Send Message”.
Now type the message in the “Message” field and tap on the “Send” button to send the message.
Keep in mind that the message will be delivered, but it’s up to that person whether he/she wants to reply.
They’ll receive a “message request” notification, where they can choose to accept, delete, or block you.
